Band
Welcome to Band! In band students will learn the basics of a musical instrument as well as how to work together as a group to play music. Beginning students will learn how to play many notes on their instrument, proper tone production (how to make the right sounds), how to read music notation, how to count rhythms, music theory, and a bit of music history. More advanced students will learn similar concepts with greater depth and application. Not only will students learn the aforementioned music concepts, but band instruction also reinforces essential life skills such as responsibility and collaboration, as well as a sense of accomplishment when goals are achieved.
We have have 4 band ensembles: 6th Grade Band, Junior High School Band, High School Band, and Jazz Band.

Choir
Welcome to Choir! In choir students will learn the basics of how to sing as well as how to work together as a group to perform music. Students will learn proper tone production (how to breath and sing a pitch), how to read music notation, how to count rhythms, music theory, and a bit of music history. More advanced students will learn similar concepts with greater depth and application. As in any music ensemble, students will also learn life skills such as responsibility and collaboration, and will the enjoy the satisfaction of seeing their efforts result in quality music performance. Remember, everyone has a voice, and everyone can sing!
